District Director Dr. John Tysell drafted a letter dated October 14, 1984 referencing the formation of a new district in Northern California/Nevada. That was the initial beginning of what is now known as the Sierra Pacific District Exchange Clubs.
The Constitutional Convention of the newly established Sierra Pacific District took place on Saturday, February 16, 1985 at the Holiday Inn in Chico, California. National Exchange Club President-Elect George Ow of Scotts Valley, California was the presiding National Representative. Thirty exchange clubs from through out Northern California and Reno Nevada, comprised of nearly 1,000 members will make up the new District. The Sierra Pacific District Exchange Clubs began operations on March 1, 1985

1st Annual Golf Classic The newly formed Sierra Pacific District Exchange Club is proud to announce it’s 1st Annual Golf Tournament to be held at the Haggin Oaks Golf Course, Sacrament California and Sierra Inn – Interstate 80 and Fultern Ave, Saturday July 13th and Sunday July 14th 1985, 36 holes, entry fee $100.00 includes golf dinner & refreshments. Non-Golfers, $50.00.
